Two projects: designed and installed a wine/beverage center in our kitchen and replaced master bath cabinets as part of a bathroom remodel. Overall it went very well. We had a little miscommunication on the completion date but we were able to work things out and be completely satisfied. Dan was awesome to work with as was Mark. Both offered fantastic advice when it came to making selections. They are not the cheapest game in town but the quality makes them one of the best values. They were very professional and pleasant to work with and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to do any kind of cabinet/counter project.

I wanted to replace two under the counter sinks in the bathroom. As I was to find out this is not a job done by a plumber. It is a smaller job that some companies don't want to bother with. I called Cabinets By Dan as it was listed on Angie's List as a company that works with granite. Dan came over the same day as the call and said he would send someone over to do the job, though it was a much smaller job than they usually deal with. His worker came over this morning and did a wonderful job - it was done to perfection. At the end of the job pictures were taken of the work, so they could be seen by Dan, assuring that the job was done right. Dan had taken pictures of the job before the work had been done. Would definitely recommend this company to all, small job or large.

Cabinets By Dan built a bathroom vanity, installed two bathroom vanity countertops, and built a mirror frame to match the vanity. I am a former teacher and I don't give easy A's. Cabinets By Dan certainly earned the A rating I gave them across the board. I found this cabinet making company on Angie's List. At my first meeting, I was unsure what I wanted for my bathroom renovation. The staff gave me their time and were very helpful. They were on time for appointments at my house: first to measure and then to install. The cabinet and countertops are very well made and are just right. The cost was reasonable. I did have other estimates. In fact, one employee suggested a cost saving measure. The vanity counter tops aren't very large. He suggested that I look for two large remnants. I did, found two I liked, and saved about half the cost for the countertops. I will be hiring them soon for kitchen countertops.

Two years ago Dan's fabricated and installed kitchen cabinets to my detailed specifications. This is a test of time review: Two years later the project looks great. The clear coat cedar has aged beautifully; a comment to the quality materials they use. Drawers and doors all function perfectly. Joints remain clean and tight. Cabinets By Dan came to our home and measured our kitchen to be able to give an estimate on cabinets replacement/kitchen remodel. Dan came to our home and was professional and thorough. We talked about different options we had without space and he wrote up a couple different quotes to cover the different ideas we talked about. I also stopped in at their showroom and again Dan and Terri were very helpful while I looked at different cabinet and countertop choices. After looking at all our options to remodel the kitchen, we did end up going a different route and did not hire Dan to do the work. I was very pleased with the experience, however, and would definitely consider calling them again if a cabinet need would come about again.

Our dated kitchen cabinet doors and the doors of 3 linen closets were replaced and all cabinetry was refinished beautifully. We have a beautiful new kitchen! Dan and his staff were a pleasure to work with. Their organized showroom and professional advice made it easy for us to make selections and determine how to proceed with our project. We chose new cabinet doors, some with glass and one with a chalkboard finish. Dan had suggestions on new inserts that would improve the function of our kitchen. They built the new doors and drawers to fit our existing cabinetry, installed them, then new and old was refinished in a lovely ivory color of our choice and a coppery glaze was applied. Lovely!

Dan was able to send someone out on a short notice to cut out the back of my countertop and backsplash to accommodate a slide in range that was being delivered in a couple of days. Overall we are satisfied with the cabinets and entertainment center that have been installed. Keep in mind, they are not a general contractor and will at times sound like it but many details are up to you to figure out. Job was pushed back 3 times due to problems with staining and other issues. Had to re-schedule other work a couple of times and they said that happens. Also, my wife and I discussed several details with them during planning that when the job was done were either forgotten or not included. Be sure everything is written down. The end product is good.

Cabinets By Dan created a custom master oak vanity and tub deck front for us. We had them replace our countertop with granite and they created a small granite shelf. We also had them create two oak framed mirrors to replace the full wall mirror that we had previously. They custom made the stain that we used for all the wood. We contacted them for an estimate and Dan came out to take measurements. He had some great suggestions on our remodel. We met with Josh at their business and he helped us with the door selection, hardware, and granite selection. Mark and Josh helped us decide on the stain and both came up with a great suggestion for our heater vent. It was great to have it custom made, the extra storage space is wonderful. Their workmanship is amazing.

Cabinets By Dan installed countertops in our kitchen and did some cabinet panels for our old cabinets about 1 ½ years ago. They also did a new fire mantel for us. We just tuned up our kitchen. We updated the kitchen a little bit and we did not do a whole renovation. We thought that they were very fair on their prices and that they were not too high. The countertops were expensive, but as far as the cabinet work goes, it was a very reasonable cost. Our overall experience with them was very, very good. They were very responsive.

We did a complete redo of the kitchen. General contractor removed old cabinets and walls down to the studs, then added insulation and new drywall. Dan visited before the demolition and drew up plans based on our conversations. They measures after drywall was done and built and installed the cabinets and a large island. Dan and his company were great to work with - highly professional and clearly passionate about their work and product. We had no experience with a project of this scope, but had some definite design ideas. Dan listened well, incorporated our ideas and designs while making excellent suggestions regarding potential options. Once our general contractor paid the deposit, everything proceeded on schedule. The installation went very smoothly all in one day. Everything was installed, adjusted and tested meticulously. Cabinets By Dan built three cabinets and installed a countertop for us in April. It was great. I dealt with three different people. It included the owner Dan, the production manager and the actual installer. They were all terrific and I had a good experience. They weren't cheap and they were more than the others, but I thought it was an excellent value. They ordered extra hinges and extra hardware. Some people just order one, but they ordered two just in case. We actually needed the extra ones because we had some extra cabinets that we needed them to match. They knew exactly what they needed. The owner came out to check on the installers to see if we had any issues. Not every company does that. I would use their services in the future too. In fact, they are doing some other cabinets for me as well.

Cabinets By Dan made all of the cabinets for my kitchen remodel and did a fireplace, mantel and a bench in a broom closet when we expanded the scope of the project. Dan came out quite a few times prior to the project to discuss our ideas and what we could do and still keep with the feeling of the home. He showed us the designs that were in out price range and went over what we wanted. After the project was in progress, we added to the scope of the project and asked them to build a fireplace and mantel that would match the cabinets. We asked them to build a bench and cabinet for a broom closet and when they gave us the quote, we could not afford to have it done so, I told them I would have to look elsewhere. Dan worked out a price without some of the frills of the project that we could afford and when he brought it over, it had all of the frills at no charge. When I asked him about it, he told me that he could not let it g out looking so bare and that he wanted to do quality work all the way around. I have been very impressed with their service and the quality of the work. They are expensive; however, I feel that they are definitely worth it.

From the first time I met Dan & Mark at my house for an estimate, going to the showroom to pick out cabinets and hardware, to the installation of the cabinets, it was a very positive experience. Cabinets By Dan constructed cabinets and countertops for my kitchen. They also referred me to a stain shop housed in the same building the company owns. The cabinets were built incorrectly, stained incorrectly and came with hinges I feel were inappropriate for the construction method. The hinges are very large and get in the way when loading mu cabinets with china and glassware. Cabinets By Dan refused to replace the hinges unless I paid for labor to change them out, even though they indicated that the hinge I would like is less expensive than the one they used. Since I did not want to pay them any more money, I offered to change the hinges myself if they supplied them, but they made this an unrealistic task. Throughout my various problems, they have never apologized for any inconvenience and have, in fact, been rude and difficult to work with. I had to contact the Better Business Bureau to get help in resolving the problems. It is now eight months after making my down payment for constructing the cabinets and I am still trying to tie up loose ends with this company. I strongly discourage anyone from using this company.

I needed a vanity drawer front replaced that had cracked. After contacting several businesses (since December 14) for help to repair or replace a cracked drawer front, a general contractor referred me to "Cabinets By Dan" in Savage. Although it was an extremely small job that was not worth the time, the owner picked up the drawer on 1/24/06 and it was repaired the next day. His philosophy was that no job is too small to satisfy a customer and to generate more business through positive customer experiences. I'm referring everyone I know to him.
